Since our inception in 1987, we have grown into one of the most recognised and respected companies in the Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) industry, a journey shaped by nearly four decades of engineering expertise, unwavering commitment, and the trust of the clients we have had the privilege to serve.

Over the years, our name has become synonymous with quality, reliability, and technical excellence in MEP services. From complex mechanical installations to critical electrical and plumbing systems, we have consistently delivered solutions that meet the highest industry standards, while adapting to the evolving demands of a fast-changing built environment. When we founded Energy Management Systems (Pvt) Ltd in 1987, we did so with a clear vision: to pioneer new technologies that would redefine how the world saves energy. We foresaw that energy efficiency would become a defining factor in modern industrial and infrastructure development.

Our journey began with a proud partnership, serving as the sole agent for Honeywell, a global leader in controls and energy-saving systems. This alliance allowed us to take a monumental first step in 1989 by introducing Sri Lanka’s very first Building Management System (BMS) at the Merchant Tower building. We knew then that BMS was not just a trend, but the definitive future of the building industry.

Leveraging the success of that first project, we rapidly expanded our capabilities to offer a complete suite of integrated building services, including advanced Fire Detection, Fire Protection, and Plumbing solutions. True engineering excellence, however, extends beyond installation. Recognising that optimal efficiency requires consistent care, we established a dedicated Service & Maintenance Division to provide robust preventive maintenance and rapid system optimisation.

Today, our core mission remains unchanged: to introduce world-class, energy-saving technology, to deliver unparalleled quality to our clients, and to protect our assets through continuous maintenance, all while helping our partners build a sustainable, green tomorrow.
